As far as a weed eater motor, I have looked into it. The way I figure it, those engines make way more torque, but run about 1/2 the rpm. As i recall, a Tmaxx trans is like a 2:1 reduction, so why not build a shaft between the diffs and drive it with motor direct with a chain. A 2 speed seems like a waste since the motor is so large, and should pull fine. I have seen alot of pics of weed eater trucks, but have never seen 1 run in person. Hope that helps.

For a weed eater motor, check out the hpi baja 5b. I know that has some kind of mix gas 2 stroke not sure how big though. I have seen a 6 wheeler, cant remeber where and i dont know know if all 6 were driven. What would be really cool it to put one on tracks. I drew one up but the only problem is you have to join the front+rear suspension together or to find some way to compensate for track growth. The way I drew it was with 2 engines and 2 trans. One for each track and a throttle linkage that would relace one throttle to make it turn. Would be pretty sweett, but I just dont have the money laying around right now to build it.

edit: Its a 23cc motor in the Baja. Also the 6 wheeler is here:

Hey, nice to see that there are still some people with innovative minds who don't mind getting their hands dirty!
I'm a member of a Dutch group of pullers and we also build our own multi-engine models.
Here's some pics for those interested:

Here's some vids:

This is a project I just finished, a dual rotor Wankel:

Oh yeah, I've done a diesel-conversion as well:

And this is what I'm working on now, former gas weedeater-engine (2.5 Cu/In) converted to nitro:

Hope you like them!

Cyril

the 3 engine truck is pretty sweeet i was thinking maybe 1 big airfilter and 1 big gas tank would work better ir might look strange but i would thank that it would be better to get more air to the engineS and stuff

Yeah, that sounds cool in theory, but with a multi engine car, RPM is more what you look for. Twin .46s don't rev out like smaller motors and are murder on driveline parts. That car is actually pretty light, so it doesn't need alot of torque. As far as 1 big tank on the Tmaxx, if there was only 1 tank each engine would need a valve on the fuel line and exhaust line. If only 1 or 2 motors are run, the pressure from the tank would still feed the motor not running and flood it. Also, the pressure to pressurize the tank would bleed off through the muffler that is not running and make no fuel pressure. I looked into all of that, and for tuning the motors, separate tanks just worked better.
