Thanks for the idea Kinverflyer, I'll see if I can rustle up a 17x6. By the way, did you close off some of the inlet cooling or open heaps of room in the belly pan? I'm a bit paranoid about cooling having cooked a TT120 previously, it is also quite warm & humid over here at present. The weekend's flying was in 30 deg c with high humidity.

Merengue, bought the CF tube from Precision Aerobatics over here, they were very fast considering that they had to have it manufactured, only cost AUD62. I think it was 1" (ie. 25.4mm) and it fitted perfectly as delivered.

Good luck getting into the air Gregor, it must be pretty cold over there this time of year and not much sunlight. I was in your beautiful country in June and enjoyed gloriously long days so you really have the advantage at that time of year!!

You can see from the video the vents and where they are placed, and thats the performance with the 17x6.

Hi Kinverflyer,

Absolutely sensational vid, loved it. Was that you flying? The prop certainly gives you an excellent response to throttle, looked like it was on a string. Loved the Harrier and high-alpha flight, beautiful stuff. Where is your c of g on the aircraft?

I'm surprised by how little cooling you have - do you work on a ratio of inlet to outlet area? As I mentioned in a previous post, I cooked one of these engines with a similar amount of cooling.

All the best, Twoturnspin

Twoturnspin, I wish it was me flying, thats my 15 year old son. Cooling I always work on 3-1 ratio, outlet 3 times the inlet. CG set up on the rear most postion then moved back from there to a point that feels comfortable.
To confirm the engine is a Thunder Tiger 120 pro turning an APC 17x6 using Technics Duraglo 10 which gives 9200rpm on the deck.

Thanks Kinverflyer, I know how you feel. My son is 10 and I suspect it won't be long before he puts me to shame!!
I'll remeasure the inlet cooling, my cutouts are similar to yours. I certainly agree that 3-1 is a good position to take. I'll also add some weight to the rear end to get the c of g back towards the 150mm mark.
I'm running the same motor and had a 16x8 running at 9200rpm with 10% fuel, I'm getting 9800 with a 16x6 at present.
Appreciate your advice with this, I look forward to running up a 17x6 on this rig!

91FX will fly either model depending on what you wanted to do with it, if you want 3D then you would need more power I would think.
I've owned both the red/while (90-108) and yellow/blue (120) models and they fly similarly but the yellow/blue is heavier. They are excellent models.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what version Adrenaline i have?.It is red and white with one piece wing. The fuselage sides travel forward of the firewall and is reinforced with tri stock at this point. The cutouts in rear fuselage sides dont have the diagonal bracing as ive noticed on the .90 version.

I would have thought that your one is the original (there were a few variations). Great airplane, you will love it.

Thanks twoturnspin for the reply,Do you or anyone out there have advice on which engine i should fit up out of two that i have available around the size range being a Saito 125 and Aviastar 150,I tend to think the 150 would be way too much engine.
Cheers,
Craig.
