I was given some very old CAD drawing files last year and told to distribute them. Each of the files is ZIP compressed, DXF format. They are drawn by Art Fuller circa 1994, from the old Winview firm, three views of propeller driven aircraft, all exterior, all in real feet and inches. Not reduced. Thus you need to know how to handle them upon receipt. You need to ship a P.M. to me, leave your bona-fide e:mail address, and which one. And only one.

I have:

Aeronca 7AC
Forney Aircoupe
AvRo 504K
Cessna 120
DeHaviland DH 82 Tiger Moth
AvRo Lancaster 1
Lockheed P-38 Lighting
Curtis Robin
Hawker Hurricane Mk. 1

Check out this site. 164 Pages of plans, 4 or 5 Per Page. It is The Profili Wing Software site. look on the lefthand side for Plans & Drawings, no cost for the plans. Mostly DXF & Raster files. I Bought the Profili Pro Software for 10 Euro's About $12.50 U.S. I My Opinion it is well worth the price. Just A couple of the plans I Found there. Extra 300, X-29, P-51, P-47, flying wings, and much more. Here Is The Link.

Is it possible to make something like the first post with all these links categorized? That way all the links would be right on the first page and it would make things easier to find than searching through the entire thread for plans sites. Just my 2 cents. I am loving all these sites though! MANY projects in mind. Thanks all!

Brian

Categorized I'm not sure about since the sites often mix stuff up. Comments though should be easy.

Good idea about copying the links to the first post where a master list can be kept. Let me find a little time for it over the next few days.

A link supplied from another thread for scale drawings. Not plans but scale drawings.

If anyone has some similar drawing links feel free to add them here. It's all good stuff.

TVGuy,

Are you sure you're getting to the right place? That URL link ( PLDaniels flying Plans ) has at the very least PDF and DXF files for the QuickFlick-II, Seether, Slipso400, ZoomBox and EasyBox planes. If you're having troubles with the URL, try just going to PLDaniels flying page

The models themselves are visible at - PLDaniels Models page

I've got some free plans on my site. It's 1/2a stuff at the moment, but there is also a place for other people to upload plans and CAD objects that they own and want to share. No size or power limitations. www.ulmer-rc.com

You do have to register to use the repository and articles pages, but not for items on the permanent "downloads" pages.

No sir, that's a Lil Streak. It's a plan I should have back up pretty soon on my site. .049 to .15 power. It was a very early example of my work and if success is measured by how close it turned out to the design goals, this is one of my most successful. While it was fast, the guys in my club said it would make a fantastic speed trainer. If you want a look at the plans just PM me your email.

There are three sites that I have found that have lots of plans to download.

Some are DXF, some are GIF, JPG, or TIF and can be viewed/printed with IsiPlot..
a NICE program for "TILED printing".

http://www.svensons.com/airplanes/
http://agert.homelinux.org/~fredrik/flyg/ritningar
http://www.st.kmutt.ac.th/~s6212425/project/RC-plan/

That should keep you busy for a while......

You know, as much as I appreciate all the leads for great software, plans, etc, wouldn't it be nice if they made thes "tiling" applications for a MAC?

I can use PS -- all day long and sort of -- "TILE", but since I only have MAC computers here in my home, I really can't evaluate if these programs are worth the effort.

any input?

Marwen1, you might contact RCU member Bipe Flyer. His program is a good one and he may even be able to help you with a Mac version. He is a regular RCU poster and very responsive to any questions you might have. Here's a link to his site: http://www.blackflight.com/

Hi guy --- I remember talking to you once about your avitar. I thought it was a FORCE ONE.. Alas, not!
I just made up my mind to take my set of FORCE ONE plans and boost it up from 36.5" to 60".

I made one that was 1/2 size -- Holy Cow Batman, those TINY planes (18") are harder to make. LOL

Hi all!

I´ve been updating my free plans site, there are a couple of thousand different designs in the site, have a look

This site was a mere repository of files where modelers could only download and it was a bit difficult to find anything.
A few days ago I decided to improve the site functionality and some new functions were added like user registration, a "shopping cart" style system, the possibility to upload files so we can share our plans with fellow modelers and the possibility to download the selected files as one single zip package so the download time can be reduced.

http://plans.aerofred.com

I hope you enjoy it!

Regards,

Fred

Has anyone taken the time to index these urls listing the drawings within? To continue to pile on urls does not a
good experience...make I suppose I am thankful the thread is only two pages long at this point

Seriously, he whom is the keeper of the key to this thread... Don't you agree "now" or yesterday would be the
proper time for an index of each?

Yeah, I know, its someone else's responsibilty...isn't your site...

Will you guys volunteer to index these? Perhaps RCU will provide the space for an index?

Anyone interested in maintaining sanity amidst all these resources? Or am I the one that's confused????

Red On The Dead Head...Ed (well it used to be bright orange )

I'm afraid that NO ONE is "in particular" responsible for their content, just a few folks to keep things on a friendly keel -- so to speak. Not to mention that particular moderators expertise.

I guess the only answer to your plight is left up to you.

I'll bet you if you go into ANY column, you will find TONS of dupication.

Anyway, it's there for you to use. If not, don't!

bon chance
