Wasn't complaining, was trying to make a suggestion relative to what's piling up in the
thread. As in making sorting through the information a lot easier. If chaos is a preference
then so be it.

Has anyone taken the time to index these urls listing the drawings within? To continue to pile on urls does not a
good experience...make I suppose I am thankful the thread is only two pages long at this point

Seriously, he whom is the keeper of the key to this thread... Don't you agree "now" or yesterday would be the
proper time for an index of each?

Yeah, I know, its someone else's responsibilty...isn't your site...

Will you guys volunteer to index these? Perhaps RCU will provide the space for an index?

Anyone interested in maintaining sanity amidst all these resources? Or am I the one that's confused????

Red On The Dead Head...Ed (well it used to be bright orange )

I guess that would be me since I originally stickied the thread.

The problem is that the list keeps changing and some of the URL's have already died. I drop in here about once every 4 to 6 weeks but for the most part it's been fairly stagnant so I didnt' really feel the need to parse through all the posts and develop a single list. If you or anyone else is feeling energetic I'd welcome your efforts to provide a list of active links and I'll happily edit them into the first post as a living list. From there it should be relatively easy to keep it fairly up to date.

BV-138
Gentlemen,
I'm new to scratchbuilding but learning quickly.
I'm looking for a plan, 3 view, anything on the German Blohm and Voss, BV-138 flying boat. Nicknamed the "Sea Dragon" it is one ugly looking plane, so much so it's beautiful. It's a 3 engine, with twin boom configuration. I have only found 3 views and a separate set of plans from the German company aeroware. www.aeroware.de/index.php?cat=c42_model-construction-build-sheets.html
Expensive plans at over $100 plus shipping, it's in German, and the wingspan is in the 10 foot range. This design is too big for me, would increase my chances for bankruptcy and the wife wouldn't be too happy. So I'm looking to design something in the 65"-85" ws range. I'd like to build it in the Ivan Pettigrew method which is extremely light without much balsa sheeting. www.geocities.com/ivansplans/
Found a 1/72 scale Revell Germany plastic model that might help. www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLNA0&P=SM
Any way to generate views / plans using a plastic model and a bright light source casting a shadow?
Any advice would be appreciated.

There is always the "ame your own plans" method by building yhe plastic model then filling its insides with a faom that will harden. One that is done, you actually cut up the plastic model in tine increments so that you can develop a placement for all of the formers & the ribs.

That's one way, but at this point in your carreer --- uhhhhhh nah!

Get a hold of some plans have them copied digitally, then you can have them PRINTED any size you want and as many times as you want.

I think that might be your best shot right now

Good Luck

Thanks for the advice Marwen. Don't think I'll be filling a plastic model with foam but that does sound like an interesting method. Like I said the only plan I know of is from Germany for $100 plus shipping. I guess if I want to build this plane bad enough I could buy it and have it digitally copied into a smaller size. This particular set of planes comes on 6 sheets!!! I'll keep searching.

Anyone else have any ideas.

ACCESS DENIED---I don't think that site has good material on it. i'm on lunch at work and that ones was DENIED. If you are going to recommend sites make sure they don't have objectionable material. I don't think admin would like that too much.
