Last fall I purchased an Ace Digipulse from someone on the R/C Universe Marketplace. It did not come with instructions, I plugged it in and it seemed to be OK. I called Ace and had them send me a set of instructions. It was a while before I got around to setting it up, when I did I found out that the Number one port would not go into the charge mode. By that time I had forgotten who I had purchased it from. Silly me for beliveing every one is honest. I called Ace R/C to see if they could fix it for me, they told me they did not have an in-house repair center and gave me an address for a gentleman in Moline IL, who did repair work for them. I called this gentleman and explained the problem to him and asked if he could repair it. He said he knew what the problem was but could not fix it because Ace R/C would not sell him parts to repair their equipment, go figure. So if you buy any Ace R/C support equipment you better hope that it doesn't break down.

Bummmmmmer!

I bought a used Ace Digipulse also here on RCU, about a year ago. Mine works fine.
Ace is no longer Ace. They were at one time just a great company located in a small town east of Independence Mo. They closed down several years back. I think someone from California bought out there stock and the rights to there electronic sales. Who know where its being made today?

What you might try is to take it to an old fashioned TV and Radio repair shop. A charger is very basic stuff, not basic for me, but I would think that someone out there would know what "part" will fix it. Could be just a loose wire.

good luck

Your man in Moline is BS'n you. There are no proprietary parts in these chargers, just plain old "off the shelf parts"

While it is true that they use common parts it is still hard to trouble shoot without a schematic. I had a friend give me one to repair for him a few weeks ago. We have all the equipment here at work necessary to do the job but without a schematic it was impossible.
Most of the time you are just guessing at to what is going on instead of knowing for sure.
