Simon, let us know if Weston do start to bring CA kits in (and make sure they bring the kits as well as the ARTFs in!)

I did try to get a pipe in but without modyfying where the undercarrage goes or dropping the manifold right outside the bottom of the plane I could not make the pipe I have fit

What made the decision for me was the video on CAM website ... it sure performs amazingly well on a 90 with a muffler so I thought I would keep it simple and as the plane and all the hardware has come out at ...... well what do you guys rekon the weight will be uncovered ??

How does 6lb's 8oz sound

If it doesn't perform on that I then I do have a 108 looking for a home but it is somewhat heavier than the 91

What sort of weight is covering on a plane this size normally??? .... this will easy be under 7.5 lbs full of fuel and flying!!

I have a rebelove that weighs more than that and goes vertical at half throttle so I see no problems there!

Status: offline 		No decent vertical with a 61-may pullout from a hover if you stuck a tuned pipe on, but will be at top revs and look like a struggle. 91 is definitely the way to go with this weight.


Let us kno how the ASP goes, thinking of getting one to upgrade my 3D funfly for the show season

After I found out Western Union transfer and shipping cost, and the projected arrival of the regular shipment was only a month away I decided to wait. Sold the Wide Body 60 kit... and now I found out the container should arrive in only two more weeks. I want one.. new 110 and digi's are awaiting a home.

Looks good BTW.. get it covered and tell me how she fly's!!!

Status: offline 		Was tested with OS91FX...CG is no problem.

Will be tail heavy with servos in rear. Also..its bad to move mass away from the center of a plane. This makes tumbling maneuvers and snaps harder to stop precisely. Use stock servo locations with pull-pull linkages on the rudder and elevators.

The prototype was 7.5lbs.

7.5 lbs: i've got the same weight with my SYNERGY 90 3D.

I will use a kato system for the elevators servo.

We will see this problem when my kit will arrive.

My 24%CA Extra300 had the same CG issue. I solved it by installing a MK bellcrank on the elevator.

On my Synergy 90 3D I'm using a OS91Fx + Genesis muffler (Braeckmann Modellbau) + 0% Nitro + APC 14x8 (9900 RPM)

On the Epsilon I will use the standard muffler with another 91Fx, the APC 14x8 and 0% Nitro (9000 RPM) or 10% Nitro (10 000 RPM).

I don't think that we will have enough place to install a muffler. Can somebody tell us if it's possible ?

Status: offline 		Adrian, sis you set up a plane with pull pull on elevators? If so how did you do it becauase I have to take the choice now as to use pull pull or two servos at the back. I am probably going to go pull pull, but will leave holes in the back just in case.

Status: offline 		Just maidened mine last weekend. It only needed a little up trim which wen away when I put the cowl back in (first flight was with no cowling). There is a very clear flight speed difference between the uncowled plane and the cowled one. I tracks very nicely except for the slight pull to the canopy in downlines. It weighs 7.8lbs with the OS 91 FX, Hitec Digitals, and a 4 cell 2000mah NiMh pack (my ony available).

The plane builds fast and is very accurate. The only dark points are the instructions (worthless), the diedral brace fitting (much more than the 4mm diedral recommended in the same manual), and the cockpit balsa (so hard it wouldn´t bend to conform to the turtledeck). There were no accesories whatsoever in my kit (not a single screw, horn, clevis, etc.) but I would have substituted them anyway.

The elevator pull-pull setup is a slight pain in the neck. I guess the next time I would go with the MK system. I alse needed to add a couple of 1/8 shims under the elevator servo to clear the lines with the rudder servo located to the back.

Other than that, it is the best 60-90 size flyer period. I gave my Swallow 90 away after flying this baby. The Epsilon is much more agile and nimble than my friend´s Widebody 60. The Epsilon will go from pure F3A style flight to 3D with no sweat. I will take some pictures next weekend weather permitting.

I agree with you, a MK bellcrank would be easier to install. What muffler are you using on the OS91FX? The cowl seems very small on that plane?

Status: offline 		I´m using the standard muffler. I cut the cowl almost from end to end (lenght-wise) to clear the muffler in the bottom side. The problem is not the muffler, but the fuselage. The muffler extends almost to the landing gear block.
