Was originally a rubber power plane? If so... it will need some reinforcement of the forward fuselage. when powering these old planes... think powered glider. I built a 1940 plane called "The Answer", which called for a Bantam .19. I stuck a McCoy black head, pot metal block shape case (the poorest series by McCoy) in it. It was WAY too much power. A .09 would have been fine. That had a 48 inch span. I think a .15 would be plenty for your plane.
