Status: offline 		i have one with tank inlet/outlet facing back I just use short hose  with clunk close to inlet/outlet

My son paints for a living  he has 40 hrs in that boat  the  pearl that is in clear  is 600.00 a Qt 
purple stripe paint is 500.00 a gallon.  Glad i did not have to buy any paint  all left overs from the full size
boats that he paints.  The boat was also widened 4 inches.

Here are my two favorites that I've built. Inspired by Hooty301, These are "Kamikaze's". The smaller one I named the MiniKaze which was built for a .29, but hauls the mail with a .46...

Platypus - converted to electric last weekend.  Got a few ESC heat issues but hopefully a chunk of aluminium will act as a good heat sink and all will be good.

Status: offline 		Here's a few photos of my other boats. I have built a total of 6 boats.

This is my Selph Inflicted SI-3 Hydro copycat I built in 10 days. I couldn't afford the plans, so I guessed on the measurements and built it. This was built all with material I already had on hand, total cost to build - $4 for pushrod boots. Powered with an Enya SS .30bb engine w/ TT46 muffler, and 9x6 APC prop. 14,000rpm.

Got a new one on the build table, another SI3 copy. v3.0 is .60/.90 sized and is shooting for 55-60mph

My big outrigger that needs new sponsons built for it (too small, wrong rake angle, etc):

Handmade rudder and control horns, with break-away.


This boat will start its life over with new sponsons, and with any luck, a high rpm screaming .56lx Jett FIRE engine. I'm saving my nickels and dimes...

Status: offline 		I just finished a Electric Conversion of my Dumas Big Swamp Buggy. I increased the height of the motor mount stand, so I could mount up to a 15" prop. I also completely covered the top of the boat. It's powered by a Neo 60 410Kv, Swinging a 15 x 7 3 blade Master Airscrew prop, Cobra 80 Amp ESC w/ 6A BEC, G-Force 6s 22.2v 30c 40000mAh Lipo, Guidence is by HiTec 3ch Tx and Atom 3ch Rx. I put strapping tape on the bottom, So I could run it on the grass, It's a little slow taking off, But once it gets going, It does pretty good. I won't get to try it on the Lake until next Spring, When we go over to Eastern Wa. If we get any snow this Winter, I'll see how it does on the Snow.

I don't know why the photo's aren't showing up. The Image file said that they were successfully loaded? I wonder what I did wrong? Well I tried it again and it worked.

Using a glow engine as a pusher setup? Any issues with overheating and stalling with the engine?

Status: offline 		After a dunking, I think the best thing to do is pull the plug, run the starter to clear the water out, and run the motor. You don't want water in the ball bearings even overnight.  That is what we do for the floatplanes.  I haven't finished my airboat yet, but it should be the same drill.

Status: offline 		Anytime I dunk my airboat engines, I clear the water out and run a full tank rich at WOT as much as possible. I use all castor oil so after a hard-run tank of fuel, I do not worry about any water left in the engine.

If I dunk my 4-stroke, I'd pull it apart and flush/oil it. So far, I haven't had to do this though.

Pusher configurations are so inefficient for a number of reasons, I'm not sure why so many people insist on running the engine that way. I suppose the hardcore "scalers" want the pusher, but a single cylinder engine isn't scale anyway.

That is really cool, but you may want to turn the prop around so the lettering faces the engine.
