If you would like to see a really large scale warbird check out the latest creation for Jack Uhl up in Missesota. He has a HUGE B-25 and there is a feature section on it on RCWarbirds.com. The guys up there like big airplanes and I think Jack will be in first place for awhile with this one. Incredible!!! Jack Devine Moderator

Hi Peter, Nice to hear from a fellow modeler from Down Under. I don't know what restrictions Jack will have with the B-25 but I'm sure there will be some. That plane is huge but I'd sure like to see it in the air. I really appreciate your comments on the article I wrote for Warbird beginners. I reakky had a great friend teach me to fly Warbirds and I'm just passing on the things he helped me understand. To many beautiful new planes meet a sudden and often fatal end before they have had the time in the air to make their first turn. Takeoffs claim most of them and I speak here from experience. I have had a lot of feedback from other new Warbird pilots and their comments were very positive too. If it just saved one plane it has been more than worth the effort of writing the article. My friend drilled those flight rules into my head and they work it's that simple. I sure agree with your comments on flying your Spitfire. Too much elevator in a turn will ruin your day if it happens when you are low. Spits are very elevator sensetive airplanes. I have two of them and I toned down the elevator input with exponential at about 35%. It makes things much smoother. I hope you keep your interest in Warbirds. There is a lot of fellow warbird nuts around here and we enjoy perspective from everyone. I hope to hear from you again soon. Jack Devine Moderator

wow what a huge bird. Unfortunately we can not have models that size in Auistralia due to CASA rullings. Gee you would not want to spill the CA bottle on it though !! Great article you wrote on getting into Warbirds, as I'm in the middle of changing my sport hat to a leather helemt it was quite informative for me. And as you say they have to be flown as a warbird and not thrown about the sky. Even on my Spitfire if I am in a very tight bank and pull too muich elevator you can sense it is not happy and wants to snap around. Look forward to reading more of these articles as you write them. cheers Peter
