I know that voltage is not an accurate reading os remaining battery power, so I am looking for data giving me an idea of what the normal current draw on a NiMH battery would be for one 15 min. flight using 9 digitals?
Anyone have this info?
Is the current draw different for Nicd as opposed to NiMH?

Also, on a 2700 mAh battery, just how low can the battery be drained before charging is necessary, current wise?

Thanks

i am using 13 digitals
1 analouge servos

2x rx`s
2x opto isolators

2 x 3000mah nimh for the servos
2 x 1800mah nimh for the rx`s

current draw for one 8 min flight is

450 mah from each of the 3000`s
75 mah from each of the 1800`s

this is with hitech servos, all matched using the servo programmer

before programming was 650 mah per 3000 battery
hope this helps.

ps i carge after two flight to be on the safe side and condition the batteries around 3 month intervals

Thanks for the input. I hope some people with 1 RX and 1 Battery respond so I can find something closer to my current setup.
I will do another test to verify if my first was accurate.

I use my digital volt meter to measure actual current required for the radio system. I also try and load or stall a couple of surfaces for worst case.

I have a 35% giles with 5 high torque servos and 1 standard, all non-digital and it pulls ~1.2a working all servos, ~3a with 2 stalled surfaces.

A friends 40% edge uses 9 digitals and current was measured in the 3a range for each receiver.
