Jim,

How about a little more info on your set-up for electric?

Michael

I have a AXI 4130 for power with a 15 x 8 E prop. I'm using a UBEC and a Jeti 77 amp opto brushless controller.

It flys really well and hovers with a 4s3p 6800 pack. It's a rocket with the 4s4p 6800 pack.

I tend to like the smaller pack as the plane still hovers, but is lighter. It turned out to be 4.9 lbs with the 4s4p.

With the 4s4p, the amp draw at full throttle is around 52-53 which is max for that type of motor. The motor temp never gets above 95 degrees!

I'm using MG micro servos all around. I do not fly full throttle and like things nice and controlled and slow so the little servos save weight and work really well.

Look for the article in this coming FLYRC magazine.

Jim!
