Florida Panhandle Float Fliers 27th float fly held Saturday August 9th, 2008.
We had a fair to middling turnout for a monthly float fly, 6 airplanes. It wascool and nice up at the lake.
Mark Pfeiffer flew his pretty Sea Wind/OS .91FS. It looks great with the stars and stripes painted on. Plain white just isn't good for me to see.
Joe Shearer flew his trusty old 4-stroke powered Kadet Senior. It keep on flying and floating.
Jim Giffard has his Ultra Stick 40 now powered with an OS .55AX. Ran great.
Newcomer Don Warren flew his SkyRaider Mach I that Flaps put together many moons ago. OS .46 power.
Flaps and I brought 2 planes, the Sea Star (Twin Star on floats) and a new Neptune/OS .70FS. The test flight on the Neptune went well. The Sea Star does a lot better with the TT .42GP engines that replaced the GMS .32s.

I didn't post an event notice, since I just found this thread, but we had the first Weaver Field Fun Float Fly last weekend. It was well organized by Cain Lopez at Scooteney Lake Park in eastern Washington. I would guess there were 25 pilots and just as many or more airplanes. I took some pictures on Saturday with my D200 Nikon, which were lost due to an accident of reformatting of the camera card. :-( However, I have some pics from a friends camera and some from my point and shoot. Hopefully, I can get others to post their pics too. And, yes we did boats too!
