Ann,

That is a model gas turbine engine (Jet engine). It sounds like your husband is going to build a jet when he comes home. It only cost $2000 because it is not already assembled. If he bought one ready to use, it would have cost $3000 to $5000.

Good Golly!!! Looks like mister Salmonbug is entering the world of Turbines.

Ann, what you have there is an unassembled jet engine. That explains the price..... (or it could be a really weird margarita mixer, but I really think it is a jet engine).

you mean that this is an engine like in the kangaroo and the bobcat ? a real jet engine?

MY GOD................

I told him to never start with those stuff and keep model airplane as fun. I understand now why last month he suddenly sold half a dozen of planes.......

I checked the litterature, no more doubt this is a jet engine manufactured by a company called "WREN"
I hope that this is reliable and won't explose in the face of my husband

you understand me clearly. I have a ducted fan f16c, but no turbines yet. This is quite a change from profile airplanes, but I think you can handle it. Hey you can be a "JET-SIS".

My wife would agree with you! I try to sell a few planes before I build new ones. I have to keep reminding myself that this is a hobby! Good luck, don't hurt him really bad. Its time to get back to work!

he won't look my nice present when he will be back......I am sure he will go directly in the workshop with that stupid moulinex

By the way the guy is here tuning the flight controls and repairing the tail wires. He said that we could go tonight to maiden the plane.
normaly I would have reserve that to salmonbug and me, but with this stupid turbine who arrived I feel bad.
I'll maybe fly the burrito

Go work out your frustrations with the Burrito. After that guy helps you get it in the air, you'll totally forget about that jet engine....
