Im doing a bit of re-disigning to lighten up the structure, i was wondering if anyone out there who has some experience with this plane can tell me what its like on knife edge, does it pull to the canopy etc. I like the look of this plane

Knife Edge: Might pull a little to the belly... but not bad... I'm not sure if there is a lot you can do to lighten this bird up much...

Should be next weekend, still waiting on a servo for her, should be at 12.5 ounces RTF

GWS pico rx modified for 5 channels
4 HS55 servos
speed300 geared 5.33 and 4.43:1
APC 11/4.7, 10/7,10/4.7
8 cells 720nimh
8 & 9 cells 800 mah nimh
2S e-tec lipoly

should be a blast to fly, my Katana shares the same size/moments/power and at 13.5 ounces flies great, but im hoping the thicker wing on the taco and more fuse area will make me forget about the katana, speed 400 size is soon to come

Thanks for the plans Paul!

Dylan

What, are you trying to collect video clips? You've got this same post in other threads
(Don't take it to heart, just some friendly harrassment! )

Dylwad posted about his e-version earlier in the thread, and he got me interested in building one also. Thanks to his help on reducing the plans, and Paul for designing and sharing the plans to this sweet plane, I now have a Mini-Taco II also... .

27" span
12.9 oz AUW
GWS300C w/8x720 AAA's
GWS 6-chan rx.

Got a bit heavier than I had planned so I am not going to add LG.

BTW, that "flag" covering job is awesome!!

Bob
