Lookin' great Hook'em, keep up the good work. I feel your pain about the dorm room thing. I'm in a dorm now - during the day my Taco lives on the bed and when I have to sleep it moves to the couch. Sometimes my (non RC) roommate will need the couch in the morning, and I'll wake up to see it on his bed! It lives in our room just as much as we do - it's never in the same spot more than a few hours!

Gator - Looks awesome!!!

I've got a set of gear waiting for you... Just need to drill 'em.

I'm going to experiment with some crazy legs I have... gonna heat 'em up and see if I can reshape a set for a taco.... Might be cool...

Gator - No, that wasn't me; I don't even have my Private yet. I did some touch-and-goes there the other day, but of course I was VFR and wasn't talking to Center. I did do my first solo yesterday though!!!! (2-19-03) I'm so pumped!!!!

We were supposed to take a field trip to MEM CTR on fri, but b/c of the Nation's security alert level it had to be cancelled. What are your initials? Heck, what's your name? If I get a chance to holler' at ya' I will. (maybe I could get "lost" and use the "5 C's" ?! )

Paul,

I am almost ready to mount my engine and fuel tank and I have a question. My engine sticks out on the opposite side of the fuse about 1/16 of an inch, should I reshape the tank to fit around the engine case?

Also, what do you use to strap the tank to the fuse?

Ben in SC

I just use a hunk of foam on the back side of the engine and mount my fuel tank right to that using eye hooks that have been opened up a little. You can sorta see how I do it from this pic:
