onthe 300 Extra- 23 lbs with a ZDZ80 on a in fuselage muffler is realistic - I did one - no weight cutting.
The Edge is samo samo-so should be the same - A friend has one of the pre release kits -for evaluation.
Carbon gear????????
Who said that?

you are right - I called my friend -and his also has the CF gear - tho-- the pre release adv literature makes NO mention of it.
surprise to me --
tho I prefer double wire gear -stronger /lighter -

Hi Guys. Actually you can quote me on the weight. The Edge weighes in at 22.9 lbs with a GT80 and PeaceMaker mufflers. It didnt have a pilot figure in it, but it did have a nicad battery not a Duralite which will save some weight. Yes, it should come in pretty near 20lbs with a ZDZ80 in it. I havent put one in yet, but I believe it will balance fine if you put the batterys far forward and use only 1 (8611) rudder servo, mounted in the tail. With the GT80 we had the battery pack located under the cockpit, so there is lots of room to shift for a lighter engine.
I hope you guys like the Edge, I believe it is a winner!
