The only place I find Esky parts shipping from North America (or is it not) is this:

http://stores.ebay.com/RC-WORLD-INTERNATIONAL

(replace **** with ebay dot com)

Any place else? Anybody used RC World International?

I got sick of breaking tail rotors, so I upgraded to the longer tail motor & direct drive tail rotor. all I had to do to balance it was cut off the plastic hole that the bearings, rod & gear went through. it flies much better too. cost me a total of $12 aussie. cheap and worthy modification if you ask me. i screwed the new motor in place of the old one with only a minor amount of filing to remove plastic that was in the way. I also have upgraded the tail boom to a more robust (thicker walled) one from the dragon fly & cut it a bit shorter to counter the extra weight of the thicker wall.

I HAVE GOT FMS WORKING on XP WITH ESKY HONEYBEE CABLE , i know it is a female connector and so is the one on your pc , so your wondering errrm how ???........ if anybody has XP and the cable that comes with the esky honeybee from ebay and cant get it working then get in touch , i have got it to work !!!!!
i bought a MALE parallel connector from maplin £1.49 , a 10k resistor and a transistor off an old circuit board i had , (im sure you could sabotage something to knick a transistor out of) , better than forking out for a usb lead when you already have got a lead !!! there are only two wires to solder .... it took longer for my soldering iron to heat up than to make the lead !!! i can take a photo of the lead if you like and email it to you , dead easy honest , then all you need is a program called ppjoy , which will tell the transmitter to talk to xp and emulate a joystick , all the controls work , and whats more ppjoy is free !! so what are you waiting for???
email me.............gaz.flinn@virgin.net

i've had it with the rotor hub on this chopper, it is too flimsy & breaks on the slightest wrong landing, i'm converting it to the dragonfly one, has anyone done this yet, i know i'll need to buy a new hub, rotor head & a few other parts, but not sure which parts are compatible & which aren't.

Some searches on this forum would've given you the answers.

The esky honey bee rotor hub has gone thru' an update with much beefier legs. Check out my post here for more details. If you're running the old hub, you might want to upgrade to the newer hub. I know camra88 was still able to break the newer hub, but my newer hub has survived quite some big crashes and still going.

I'm not sure which dragonfly you're talking about (every manufacturer seems to call its micro heli the dragonfly). If you're talking about the GWS dragonfly (similar to FEDA), here's my earlier post about the matter. To be specific, you need FD004, FD007, FD025, and FD034.

Cheers,

i went through this thread, i didn't know the other one was there.

should be back up & running shortly,

i do like everything on this chopper except the rotor hub, the gyro is excellent, and with the Futaba exa6 transmitter as an upgrade it's an easy chopper to fly compared to my friends dragonfly.

Hi guys.......another newbie here with troubles!!!

I bought a honeybee2 (esky) (3 servo ccpm jobbie)

been practicing lifting off (very hard), but I noticed when I push forward on stick the main rotor moves forward and right? and other directions aren't bang on what they should be!

so I guessed I'll never learn unless the controls do what I want them to!

so how do I go about adjusting the main rotor blades so they do exactly what the controler does?

thanks guys

That's perfectly normal when the heli is stationary. It's called gyroscopic precession. Don't use that for calibration. Just make sure the rotating flybar plane doesn't keep changing angle by itself.

The outdoor version has bigger wooden blades and more powerful motors. The 3D has collective pitch.
