Hello guy's i am about to get myself a painting setup.
I will be get the SATA MiniJet 3 HVLP,I also need to know what accessories i should get with that gun.
Also i will need another gun to shoot my primer.
And last a good air compressor,.
I have been looking at a few , some say go with an oiless so you don't get oil in your paint.
some say to get one that has oil , they are quieter.
I am lost here i need to know whats the best setup to go with
I don't what something that will make to much noise.

Hey yardy,

Not sure what you want for a compressor but if your looking for one that doesn't make much noise be prepared to pay for that.

If you plan to use HVLP guns the most important thing to remember is that CFM's (cubic feet per minute)are the most important.

I use water traps, oil traps and dirt traps on mine but I paint everyday all day. Oil and water traps are important to have. As far as going oiless so you dont get oil in your paint(I dont think so). You will be fine either way.

If you buy a SATA everything you need should be with it. I like to use air regulators attached right to the paint gun itself. Makes life so much better.

Primer guns, I buy cheap. Primer is hard on paint guns so I don't put alot of expense there.

Good luck, now go paint somthing!

Ken

I use a 15 Gallon Campbell Hausefeld air compressor. Quick disconnects allowed me to eaily switch back and forth between my detail gun and airbrush. Most of the time I set the regulator to about 25psi to spray my paint.

Neo just showed you a great setup.

As far as the SATO gun goes, I use them and love them. Dollar for dollar you can buy cheaper and you would be ok. However I like the SATOs and the only guns I buy cheap are the primer guns. As far as airbrushes you cant go wrong with the Iwata brand. Just like the SATO it will cost a little more but well worth it. The Eclipse is a great one for what you want to do and it is available with the bottom feed or with the top feed cup like Neo's has. Also there new one, the Revolution is supposed to be good and a little cheaper it's also available with bottom feed or with the top cup.

later, Ken
