I dont know where you guys get the preformace loss from. I also have a 2003 seadoo gtx-sc with around 100 hrs into it & I have never had any problems with it at all also. It is still stock & no preformance loss. They are banning 2-strokes from production beacuse there exuast put oil into the water, but I like my 2001 gtx because you can do better spin outs, But I hate starting it in the mornings. Ive never run a yamaha so I cant comment on it. If they ever come out with the 300 hp one I will defenantly take a test drive.

You should see a 4 seater I saw it was huge. I dont really like the looks & my dad dosent like 2 seaters since we tow inflatables. I also think that seadoo is also coming out with a new ski for 07 but I'm not sure. Im only 16 & I would love to get a stand up, but i heard that they are dangerous. Is that true?

stand ups are probably less dangerous than sit downs. most stand up riders hang out in the bottom of the power band because we just care about a strong holeshot. most sit downs end up riding usually in the upper RPMs riding around 50+mph.

stand ups can get risky when you get into freestyle, but i always wear a helmet when doing anything crazy and whenever i ride in large surf.

if you ever get into stand ups you'll never go back to sit downs. guarenteed. they're just way more fun.

When I turn 18 I will get one. I like the Kawasaki’s 800 SX-R: http://www.kawasaki.com/product_detail.asp?product=92&category=4&tag=watercraft & the Seadoo 3D di: http://www.sea-doo.com/en-US/Products/Watercraft/Sport/3DDI/Introduction.htm

the sxr is pretty cool. great for ripping around and making sharp carving turns. great for racing.

the 3d is a joke and a huge failure. dealerships can barely give them away. they're the same size as a regular 2 seater sit down. they're mammoths. you can shut the engine off and stand on the rear platform and it won't even tip over. not to mention the weight of the thing is insane and it's way underpowered.

the superjet is the best for tricks since it's the lightest. it's the most fun in the surf too.

i have an sxr and a superjet. best of both worlds, but i don't ride the sxr much anymore so i'm selling it. i also have a yam waveblaster which kicks azz in the surf.

I've been looking at used stand ups in the local boat trader that are going for around $2000. I never noticed that they were that cheap!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=0hWORfN5h3A&mode=related&search= Heres a vid of an rxp doing 83.1 mph. The vid is not all that good quality

to get accurate GPS readings you need to really do at least 4 runs in two different directions and then take the average. wind conditions and currents need to be factored in.

Have as much fun as you want... But stay off my WAKE! I can't tell you how sick and tired I get of lake lice riding my stern (way too close).

I have considered picking up a waverunner type craft to be the tender for my cruiser, but the more I thought about it, I will just get a rigid inflateable boat.
