we had the enforcer up today and did some idle quality tuning. it weighs about 7.8lb with fuel in it and the engine makes 8lb of thrust with a 13" prop. it does move a lot of air. we had to ditch it in the field when the plastic throttle clevis somehow pulled off the cable. and i buzzed a tree when a nasty cross wind had me jamed up trying to land and aborting it. not much closer than knocking a branch off a tree.
did you guys try and be logged in to see my pictures on the other page? i can still see them.
we may build a new main section and try and put two engines one pulling one pushing. would that be kool or what...

New to the world of the ENFORCER....

Has anybody gone electric (no ducted fan) or something like a 20cc DLE gas engine? I'm out of the glo fuel stuff...

FLIGHTJOCKEY
You mentioned that your plane weighs almost 13 pounds.... why so heavy? I thought it was supposed to weigh about 6 ... Not a critical comment just a question....
I'm looking forward to building this model and any thoughts up front are very welcome....

The weight gain is due to the fact that I bumped up the WS to 60" VERY, VERY BIG.

neaew@msn.com">oneaew@msn.com

The 20cc is a little heavier... seems like guys are running bigger engines on this plane. I'm leaning toward some kind of electric setup...
but I don't want to build a "sled" so I'm trying to come up with something in the 70 mph range .... that is fun to fly. Gave up on glo stuff many years ago ... too messy and too long to clean up afterward. That of course is just my opinion, as I get older I get lazier....

She looks gorgeous...!
How did you arrive at the best thrust angle before commiting to building the final product...?
