I'll probably have to get one as well....unless anyone knows of anyone coming out with a Sea Fury ARF....

    Desert Toad,

You don't mind if I paint it up with the Dago Scheme do you? Doesn't look like your going to get her flying by memorial day. Have anything else ready?

I don't think you or brother Dago should be allowed to get one.

I've been rooting for the bear, even though it's the underdog in Reno, but you two just root for the winner.

And now you think you deserve the ARF? Sheesh....

MissA, and the Freestyle will be around. Maybe put the gear back in the PBXL....or say to heck with it and go to the lake.

I think I'll get one too. I didn't know they were coming out with a trainer for pylon racing. It would be good to warm up with before flying the real race planes. Pushing a box car around the poles would be challenging though.

    Desert Toad,

Oh forgot to mention something.....couldn't believe what happened today....out in the backyard and heard a very loud noise inside the house....when I got in the house I found that my "Bear Beer" #243/500 signed by Lyle etc. exploded all over the dinning room....and I mean all over (maybe it didn't like the conversations I've been having with you on this forum).....no kidding...couldn't believe it!!! That was a $20 donation to your plane down the drain....

That's not a good sign, could it be an omen of things to come. Mine didn't have a chance to blow up because I drank it and just kept the bottle. As I recall it gave me heartburn. Maybe TUMS should sponsor the bear. DagoNbr4 could you please tell me who broke the 500 mark last year in the gold race?

Don't feel bad, I had one of my bottles blow up about a month ago. Apparently while we were on vacation the house got a little hot so the bottle blew up. Still have 3 bottles in the fridge and the signed lable of the broken bottle was salvagable.

    Fastfastdago,

I do believe the only 500+ MPH lap speed to date (set last year at 504MPH if I remember correctly) was a Red Mustang...but I can't seem to remember the name. Can you refresh my memory?

    Desert Toad,

You might recall who that was....

The label was still moist so we peeled the broken glass off the back and then pressed it onto a picture frame glass and then epoxied another piece of glass on top (epoxy on the edges, not on the lable). Came out great, will it fade? I have no idea, just keep it out of florescent and sunlight, should be fine.

You could also go to a craft store and get some Decopage (sp) which is used to laminate paper/cloth onto wood for home made decorations...it was popular in the 70's and 80's don't know if it's available today.

    hattend,

Thanks for the advice....will give it a try....

Sounds like you've been to Reno yourself. We've all enjoyed them for the last 25-30 years as well....

    bottle 401/500 here.

    Dear desert load;
You stated that "I've been rooting for the bear, even though it's the underdog." I thought you always rooted for "Miss America". Is your last name Kerry. Did you vote for the 87 billion before you voted against it?
