for bodys the mgt will fit ok and the proline h2 is a nice fit, for wheels just get the 14mm hex conversion and use any t-maxx or savage wheel!

This is VERY important PLEASE check and make sure your mammoth is shifting into 2nd cuz if it isnt you will over rev in a heartbeat so with the wheels of the ground slowly throttle up and it should shift nice and crisp if it isnt you must tighten the 2nd gear clutch to the main shaft about a 1/4 turn or more! it is just normal for it to kinda wear out!

well i am not sure what clutch your truck came with but mine has the 3 shoe 3 spring clutch and i have done 1 gal and the clutch is like new and as far as the low end mine is = to a savage 25 so I am inclined to think that something is dragging your truck down but if you have the 3 shoe 1 spring clutch i have heard of problems like that but i have an odd truck i have the rtr (ready to race) version not the rtr (ready to run) version but i am kinda wondering what clutch your truck came with and pics if you have!

Thank-you for your opinion i know we all have our own but i do agree that out of the box a mammoth is not the best basher but with a few inexpesive mods it will rival a savage for bash durability! I have said in another post that if you want to bash get a savage if you want to race get a mammoth i like both for difrent reasons but the reasons i had for getting a truck where filled by the Mammoth!

I LOVE THE SMELL OF NITRO IN THE MORNING

Everyone keeps saying with a few in-expensive parts.

Where are these parts? where are the upgrades, nobody is listing sites to upgrade mammoths.
I have searched and searched and still have yet to find a site that has an upgrade section on the mammoth.
I have not bought my mammoth yet, and if I cannot upgrade it, or if parts are not available why spend the money on it?

I went to 3 sites before and found every upgrade part available for a savage

*ponders*

this is frusterating

yeah MX45 has given me some useful links from hobbiepeople, I've found a number of upgrade alumi parts on that site to hop up the mammoth
quite nicely.

But getting both of them at the same time gives me the best of both, but after all the hop ups I found for the mammoth, with the savage I'm getting mighty close to 2000.00 range so I think I'll stop before my wife divorces me.

I'm getting the 3pk futaba radio and getting a second rx (same one that comes w/the radio package.) for the mammoth.
should I just ask for the same 75MHz crystal that comes with the radio? for the second rx? since the rx doesn't come with a crystal?

Or when I place the order do I have to specify what crystals I want at that time?

Thanks for your Help,

The confused Tweedy Bird

You must specify you want the 75mhz radio or the 27mhz radio (you want the 75) and then pick the chanel you want and order the 2nd reciver crystal for that chanel

MX i will get some pics after i get the roll cage it will look SWEET!

Congrats Sypro, looks real nice, I was going to go with one, but decided to go with the savage and lst instead.
Let me know how your break in goes and what you think of the truck.

In the book for the mammoth it says use 16% fuel for break in and use 20% after break in. Well i called global hobby today and asked them if i could use 15% because that the closest to 16% my lhs has, they told me not to use 15% or 16% use 20% and that the book is wrong. ~`_-(IT SAYS THAT IN THE INSTR. MANUAL NOT THE MOTOR MANUAL)-_`~

use Trinity 20% for break in and after use 30%, and don't switch brands.

Just use the 20% you plan on running in your truck but make sure no more then 1/2 on the gas and make sure the engine cools properly with the piston at the bottom of the trock.
NEVER USE 30% for your break in!!!!!
