Thanks for posting the stuff on your B&D field box. I'm like everybody else, my stuff keeps expanding and my box doesn't work anymore. Your pics were awsome. I went to our local Home Depot in Ontario and it is $39.95 canadian. Needless to say I snapped it up and am looking forward to the conversion.

I just started flying an electric slowflyer for local neighbourhood fun and the grandchildren. I will convert my old small feild box over to electric only. Don't nearly need as much stuff.
Thanks for sharing. One of the things I love the best about this sport.

Thanks for the information on the B&D field box. I'm like everybody else, my stuff keeps expanding and my box doesn't.

I was looking for ideas to "build" one when I came across your posting. Fabulous!!! I went to my local Home Depot today and picked one up for $39.95 Canadian. What a deal. Looking forward to doing the conversion.

I will change my old box over to electrics. I just started fling slow electric park flyers for local neighbourhood fun and the grand kids. You don't need as much stuff.

Thanks for sharing / one of the best things I like about this sport.

That sounds like a sure sign of something going wrong. I have a couple of Rubbermaid jugs that seem to be holding up pretty well. See my post somewhere in this thread.

WOW!

I've been following this thread for some time now...planning...and finally got the B&D style from Lowes for $25.95 (sale), and the Rubbermaid fuel cell (clear) from Target. Sure hope the fogging problem is just that...fogging.

I'm placing the fuel cell with fuel dots on the top, and the power on the bottom to keep 'em separate. Pics to follow.

You guys - modelers - designers - inventors have been an inspiration. Thanks.

John

Of everything I've purchased since I got into this hobby, the two worst things I've bought are the great planes field box and the tower .46 engine. IF I had it to do again, I would have went to Home Depot and bought one of those boxes with wheels on them, kinda like a suitcase with the pull handle that folds.

I'm in Germany and I've been trying to find the B&D master cart on the web site's (the only way we can get most stuff over here), but I can't find it anywhere. B&D, Wal-mart and Home Depot don't show it as any product they list on there web site, nor can I find it on Google, etc. Any ideas out there?

I found the box I have at Lowes.com It is listed on their website, but I don't think they ship to Germany. It's just like the B&D box. It's call the Keter Master Mate. Try searching for it. Maybe you will find a place that will ship it to Germany. I'll look some more, but I haven't had any luck so far.

We should get Billy to lead a mass emailing to Tower Hobbies and demand that they carry this box! AND, theirs should come with the drink cooler too!

I second that for tower hobbies! Thanks guys for the help. I found it at Lowe's web site and they do ship to my APO address. (it cost me more for shipping than the price of the box, but it's worth it). Thanks, again.

Astrohog,

Have you begun to see signs of the decomposition of the fuel cell that you installed? 512 CES has mentioned seeing signs of the coming demise of his tank.

512 CES,

What's going on with your tank now?

To Both of You:

What fuels are you storing in your tanks?
