Would an AR7000 fit a TM400? I have a spare from an old heli.

By now, you probably selected a motor, however, I use a motor from headsup rc:

http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the-1418/2410-dsh-09Y-Outrunner-Brushless-Electric/Detail

This one does 4 things, lighter in weight, less amps with the same prop, cheap, and provides more "go" power than the stock setup.

Hey guys, does the tm400 fly as slowly as the pico moth ? Used to fly one a buddy had and it was loads of fun in the evening after work. Been flying for many years, so skill isn't an issue. Just wondering if it flew as slowly as the pico for my backyard sorties ?

I don't think so, but it sure gives the impression that it does. It does have a wide speed envelope, and plenty of power with the stock setup. This is one smooth plane. The stability of the HZ Super Cub, but with ailerons. Another benefit is it's ability to handle wind. I have flown mine in winds up to 10mph, as well as calm conditions. The only problem I've seen is with gusts. It reacts like a real plane, up and down.

Thanks, good info. Might have to get a pico moth then as I want one to fly in my backyard. My yard is just right for the pico moth , but kind of wanted a bigger version. Thanks again.

I also have a Pico Moth , "biplane fanatic" have 6 of bipes so far, one of them a Sig Jenny. I put a brushless motor in the Jenny and the change in performance is unreal. The stock motor setup in the Moth is OK but leaning towards marginal. The motor I used in the Jenny would do wonders for the Moth . I don't mean to push Headsup RC, but they offer some neat stuff. The motor I used on the Jenny is supposed to work well on the Moth as well:

Check it out and have fun.
