Suitcase, I have used a weighted prop nut on my OS FX 46 on my Bipe. I actually bought a 1 oz prop washer for my twister and it pretty much did the trick. The usually come in 1/2 oz to 2 oz weight, prop nut or washer. I had to move the throttle push rod over a little more to remove the bind I had. That meant drilling a new hole and plugging the old one. I used a chinese chopstick to fill the hole.
Can't even tell the hole was there.

I'm about ready to put the servos in my Twist but I need to stop by the LHS and pick up servo extensions. What did you guys use on your setup?

Also, many have said the control rods in the kit are too short. Any suggestions on replacements or workarounds with the existing hardware? The stock hardware seems a bit too flexible so I was thinking of getting something different. This is my first fun-fly/3D style plane. What is light and works best for these short control linkages?

Havn't quite got mine ready to fly yet, but, on the control rods at the rear I used the 2-56 central hobbies carbon rods to build my control rods. I really don't think I saved any weight, I just wanted a stiffer connection.

I used two 12" servo extensions in the tail end of mine and no extensions on the ailerons. As to the pushrods, the only one I needed to replace was one on the tail, and I just used one that I had lying around from an old hanger 9 trainer that was totaled during the learning process a few years ago.

Wound up getting a .50 SX for this plane as the hobby shop didn't have any Saito .72's and I didn't think a .58 would be enough. Just hope the 50SX fits the engine rails.

I used extensions on the rudder, elevator, and they weren't very long. Had them laying around. Maybe 6 or 7 inches. I hate it that I cut back some of the cheek next to the firewall to try and make access to the fuel line (for fueling) easier. Now I still can't reach it well enough and have to buy some fittings to rig it up. Would installing a tee in the fuel line between the firewall and the engine and running a filler tube with plug out the bottom between the engine and firewall work or will it cause flow problems? Hope I explained myself.

Thanks for the info on the extensions... The tee in the fuel line may work but you would risk the fuel running straight to the carb instead of into the tank while fueling. I think a better setup would be a fuel dot attached to a separate fuel line running to the third hole in the tank stopper. It looks like they give you plenty of metal tubing so a little extra fuel line would be the only other thing needed.

I got to fly Suitcase's Twist today. It was a lot of fun. The roll rate is very fast even on low rates. His 46fx did a good job hauling it straight up. This is one fun model.

I use fuel dots and a "T" into the carb line on all my planes, no problem at all. I have a Saito .56 that is inverted which means the carb is facing up and even with the throttle all the way closed fuel will fill the carb and drip out while I refuel, but it never floods the engine, as a matter of fact it saves me the trouble of having to prime it, I just turn it over a few times before I put the starter to it just to check for hydrolock, it never is. The only problem is I have to clamp the fuel line when I defuel or else it sucks ait through the carb and doesn't quite empty the tank.

Ran acroos your post looking at the twist myself. Saw you had a Saito 72. I am just curious what fuel you run in that engine. I use powerMaster 20/20. Just looking what others use. Just curious!

Well, got mine ready to fly, but the weather didn't cooperate. It has an OS 50 sx on the front with a tru-turn spinner and 11x7 APC (12x4 wouldn't fit my spinner), and 4 cell 1450 NiMH pack over the tank against the firewall. No extra weight needed for balance. The balance goes nose down at 4 9/16 and tail down at 4 1/2. I may not get to fly it for two weeks now (going to top gun this weekend), but am looking forward to it from everyones reports here!

We flew my sons this weekend. Well named plane. Matt had a ball twisting & turning it all over the place. Plane was very tail heavy with a 600 mah bat. under the tank and that made it very pitch sensitive but the plane was fun none the less. Personally, I like the Sig Mayhem a lot better, but the twist fits in the car without breaking it down.
