Maidened her tonight in between rain showers.

Sweet flying airplane!!! Can't wait for that Webra .50 to break in. 4 deadsticks tonight.

How long do you guys wait to lean out the low end? I've only got about 20 oz. thru it.

Leaned out the low end a tad, it's running better, but I'm still not happy with the transition. No deadsticks tonight.

15% wildcat, probably too much prop for break in: 12.25 X 3.75 APC.

Engines are not my forte'

I had a couple deadsticks at first with mine. It would happen at low throttle settings and transition was bad. I started leaning out the idle mixture (not much probably 1/4 to 1/3 turn) and readjusted the high speed needle, but still left it somewhat rich on the top end. It never deadsticked again and the transition is awesome with an APC 12.5x3.75. On the top end needle, it was'nt until after about 1/2 gal that it held the setting but never quit after the initial low end adjustment. It has been wonderful after 2 gallons of fuel and does'nt even require a starter, just a light flip.

That's how I run mine too Novabill... Kinda rich on the high end and right on the money on the low end... I let it idle for a little while, then nail the throttle. If she gurgles, I lean a little more, If she quits I richen it a bit... You can also tell which way to go by running the engine a few clicks above idle then pinch and hold the fuel line... RPMs go up, lean it, RPM's go down, richen it.

Thats about where I'm at right now, I've got the low end really close. Transition is a little slow yet, but man does this engine scream!!

I want to fly the crap out of this thing before Memphis, sounds like it's only gonna get better.

Anyone ever had a glow plug loosen and spit nitro all over the head? It's baked on now and made a mess of my new engine.

Sounds good citabriapro... That thing will only get better... On the baked on fuel.. Only way to get it off is to disassemble the engine and cook the ugly parts in a pan of water and cascade dish washer soap. Don't get it too hot or it will discolor the aluminum. Cook for about 20 minute, then scrub with an old toothbrush or something like that... Stuff comes right off...

Here are some updated pics of the "Burrito Supreme". Still need to put trans red "shading around the Pro Bro. Last time I think my lens was foggy. If these don't come out, I'll have to look into resizing or something to get better clairity.

Man, that is one SWEEEEEEET looking Burrito. I really like that clear covering. I might have to build another one next winter now and copy that scheme.

Taco Hell is cool.

I saw a shirt a few months back that advertised a restraunt called "Pepitos Burrito-Roll Your Own"

My wife talked me out of that scheme. She said," it might give the wrong impression".

Matt,

You ain't seen me fly have ya? If I knew what orientation was I'd crash a whole lot more!

Hope to see ya in Mempho!!!

Time check Gordo----Whats the countdown?

Thanks everyone! I said it in another thread this morning that I bit off considerably more than I had any business "chewing" with this scheme, but it has been much funness indeed and I really have a much better appreciation for the various schemes I see out there. After the Memphis Pro Bro and our club's Spring Fly-In, I plan to round out an extra value meal with a Fat Free Taco sporting the same scheme.

John

I enjoyed the PFC in Ohio today.

My Webra .50 still starts a little hard; but runs PURR-FECT.

This plane made me look better than I thought I was. I fell in love again. I said that after I flew my OMP Edge too, but my new favorite is the Burrito.

Great flying plane Swany!
