Default GWR-4P Receiver Hookup?

I have the GWS-4P receiver and a slow stick plane I'm trying to hook up. I'm going to use rudder and elevator controls and I have an ESC. Where do I plug the ESC up to?
Marked on the receiver (ch4) the manual says this is for the Rudder/Battery. Well, if I plug up the ESC to this where would I put the rudder?? Then it shows ch3 as "throttle". Is this where the ESC would plug in?

I don't want to fry anything

Thanks

Esc plugs into #3 throttle to control the motor speed. Rudder plugs into #4. hope this helps.

You can plug a battery into any channel of a receiver. Inculding 3.

That's correct, but the ESC needs to be plugged into #3 in order to operate the throttle. Batt. power going into #3 supplies voltage to the rest of the reciever and servos as well.

Lord have mercy, guys! Will someone pay attention to what that man has and needs and not just fire off the first thing that comes to mind !!!

Zor, you've got a three channel plane so you're gonna fly with the rudder on the aileron stick of the Tx. So plug the rudder into ONE, the elevator into TWO, the ESC into THREE, and I don't think you'll need anything in FOUR as the Rx power will come from the ESC battery lead as Flypaper noted.

Don't get your nighty in a knot. He wanted to know where to plug in the ESC. If you want to elaborate, go for it without the admonitions.

But Gord, you told him WRONG !!! Rudder should go into #1, not #4 on this plane.
