I'm getting back into RC nitro cars, just back yard bashing, but i want to be able to look after my batteries, i'm using NIMH batts now, and have just bought 12 AA sized 1600 Mah cells from a show, and a 4000 Mah C sized cell, (unbranded, but they are dark green..sanyo?),

The 12 AA cells are for the TX and RX, and i may at some stage make 4 of the cells up into a pack by soldering my own connections on,

The 4 amp C cell is for the inteligent glow driver i'm gonna be getting,

Now i will need to charge these (i've charged the AA cells up using an in the wall style charger with a NIMH setting on it, does 4 at a time, and takes most of the night... the lights seemed to go out just after the batt's got warm, so maybe it has temp detection, but i have no way of charging the C cell, hence my Q),

The 2 chargers i can afford are:
The Multi Plus 12 FET DC Quick Charger,
And the Multi Q Triple Output FET DC Quick Charger,

These seem similar to one of the FMA direct chargers available in the USA, and according to the sites selling them, they seem almost identical, so which one is the better one?

i'm worried about the glow charge output on both of them, i've found out its not peak detected, and just a 20 minute charge at 1.2 amps, this will be no good for the 4 amp C cell when its flat, (i will have a glow starter for back up, so will need that feature of a charger),

So i guess i need a charger tha can charge 1 cell, at an apropriate rate for the 4 amp hour C cell, fast, but also allow me to trickle charge it the first time to get it upto capacity, i dont think the multi Q charger can do that (min 4 cells on the peak detection outputs),

Anyone know if the multi plus charger does what i want?,

or would i be better getting the multi Q for the radio batts alone, and another single cell charger for the on board glow battery?,

idealy i'd like a charger that can charge single cells, so i can peak charge the AA's individualy at first, then i have matched cells for when i make them into a pack, and charge through the charger socket (disabeling the diode later this week), is this needed tho?, the individually peak charging the cells that it.

Cheers for any advise,

Gary
