Well I got a set of plans from 1968 and am scratch building it with mods for 91fs and 52' wings. Wing plans are for the 2 model and have had them for a week , ready to start sheeting.
Oh and this is not my first it is #6

I just picked up a NIB AAMCO Aeromaster Too on _bay. The box has two stickers on the front, the large Aeromaster sticker and then smaller Aeromaster Too in the bottom left corner. I wonder if this was made during the switch to the newer Too version or if all Too boxes were labeled this way, not that any of this matters. The only problem with the kit is the canopy is split up one side and unusable.

The kit looks much easier to build than a Sig Skybolt but the Skybolt is a sexy b_tch!

Here is a picture of the first Aeromaster I built in 1971. It didn't come with a canopy, so rather than have an open cockpit, I went for a simple flat sheet streamlined cover. If you don't mind the look, it is a simple solution.

Yup, thats an Aeromaster allright. Obviously a GP version judging by the cowl and the bolt on wings. You got the deal of the century!!

TKLINE,
Judging from the uncut cowl I assume its never been flown. Before flying it check everything! The incidence should be -1 top wing, 0 bottom wing, and +1/8" stabilizer. Also, there have been a lot of upper wings come off of the Super Aeromaster over the years because the mounting blocks were just glued to the center ribs. Check to make sure the interplane strut mounting tabs are strong enough too. Fiberglassing the wing centers is mandatory.

What a coincidence. I just got the Great Planes Super Skybolt off FeeBay and am studying it as well. The moment I opened the box I began comparing it to my GP Super Aeromaster. The top wing outline is virtually identical. I have to say this kit reminds me a lot of an Aeromaster with ailerons in both wings. Theres a lot more prefab and die-cut parts which will save time and make alignment a lot easier but theres also a lot more parts to assemble. In all, these two are probably about the same difficulty - advanced intermediate. The Skybolt has the edge in the looks department though... I think I'll stuff a YS110 under the hood!

Hey Scott.

I took my Aeromaster out last Sunday. The engine ran lousy but the plane flew really well. I experienced
a minor glitch with the radio but I think I've got that figured out. I have a new Perry carb coming in for it
and hope to get a few flights in this weekend. It was really nice to see it in the air going through the paces.
You'd never know that it had been 25 or so years. I'll ask my beloved to take some pics. No guarantees.....

Cheers.

Mike
