Yes it's long gone. Over a year or more ago.

I purchased my Funtana 90 the month before it was announced that it would be withdrawn.

Sigh... three planes in a row I've had this occur with...

The new funtana is the X100, is improve and they say it's better than the S90, I don't know my S90 is super nice, I still have it in the hall of fame, but to replaced in the future will be the X100

I have an engine issue I need some help resolving. I have a Funtana 90 that had a Saito 1.50 in it. I didn't like the way the cowl was cut and wanted to add a slim-line muffler but had trouble fitting it. I have a Zenoah 20 gasser in the box and thought this may be the perfect engine for the Funtana. Here is my problem. When I fit the Z20 so that the prop shaft is centered in the old cowl, the base of the engine is way over to the left side of the engine box. So much so, that if I drill the holes for the two screws on that side (left from pilots view) they would almost go into the side of the engine box. The blind nuts would almost have to be cut in half to fit. Hopefully I have explained this and I can take pictures if an expert comes forward to help. I am about ready to go back to the Saito.

    Thanks, Dave

first, this plane is not designed for gas engine, too much vibration, second yes go back to your saito.

well I finally weighted my funtana now after about a year and a half. It came out 7.9lbs dry, with saito 100. I tryed it 5 times with the same answer. What have everyone elses planes been weighing in at, I'm just curious because mine is really light.

I had been using an OS 91 FX and i tried many props the best on that ii found was a 14/4 prop an 15 inche prop seemed to big for the engine but any way i have changed the engine because the os 91 fx was a bit under power it dosent even let me do a prop hang so i decided to buy one and i bought a Saito FA-125A.Here is a sample video of my Funtana S90 that my friend did for me.

The Funtana - NEEDS - a BIG low pitch prop so you get a lot of thrust but do not overspeed the plane ( which is usually fatal... ).

The OS .91 could easily handle a 16x4W. You should try one.

I fly my Saito 1.00 FA on my Funtana s90 with a 16x4W prop and verticals are no problem what-so-ever.... my standard takeoff is straight up.

The manual recommends this prop for very good reason.
