I'm down to less than a fuel tank of my current gallon of light pink 5% nitro (Omega brand, no other labels or info). It's too little to go up again with, too much to throw away.

A co-worker that retired about 4 years ago from our sport (because he had his first kid) recently cleaned out his basement and found half a gallon of dark pink 10% nitro (Byron brand, label says Premium Sport "Standard" 16% Oil Content Synthetic/Castor Blend) and a full gallon of green 10% Nitro (Cool Power brand, no other labels or info). Both have been properly sealed while in storage and evaporated very quickly when I dipped my finger in them (in other words, still seems good). He kindly donated both to me.

Can I mix the little bit of 5% Omega with one of the two recently aquired fuels?

Fuel is fuel...you can mix any brand together...I'd worry about that 16% oil content though.

I guess I'm going to mix the pink 5% Omega with the green 10% Cool Power.

What is it about the 16% oil content that makes you worry?

The worry is that 16% oil is nowhere near enough for safe running. I won't go below 20% and even then I make sure I never go lean. Do yourself (and your engine) a favour and get some castor to top up the oil content.
