Mike, I have 4 new HS5245 in my new profile plane. I lost the gears on one aileron servo, and the movement seems very rough on the other aileron. It is almost like it is ratcheting through its travel. I've flown HS225's on this type of plane with no trouble before. Do I need to worry about the other servos on this plane? Thanks in advance. Tom

The 5245 and 225MG use the same geartrain so I don't know why you would have any problems. Did you open them up to check them out?

Mike.

Mike, no I did not open them up, as I do not want any trouble with warranty. There is actually two problems. One is a stripped gear, when you turn the output shaft you can hear it clicking. The other when you turn the output shaft it sounds and feels normal, but in the airplane when moved one direction at a medium speed the control surface jumps instead of a smooth motion. Tom
