I am currently using a 12v Lawn mower lead/acid battery to charge my Receiver packs. I have a Hobbico Field charger (not the MKII). With this configuration i can not fully charge my 1800 nicad or my 1650 NIMH packs. The full charge light on my charger never blinks, even after 30 mins of charging. It will fully charge my 600 mah however. The lawn mower battery is new, and fully charged. What can i do???

Thank
Chris

The original hobbico charger will put out 1200maH before it goes into time out. You can charge the pack more often (after less than 1200maH has been removed) or you can charge it twice. This later is what I did with my 1800maH NiCad packs.

there is nothing wrong with charger. if your battery was half full, it would take about 1 hour before peak detecting. if batt is empty or even a larger pack is used the inernall timer may run out and stop charging. use giestwares suggestion and just restart charger.

I would recommened buying a new charger, the Great Planes Triton is awesome and will charge all r/c battery chemistries. It allows you to see the exact amount of Ah put in the battery and how long it took and the charge rate set by you.
