Does anyone know how to calibrate an Accu-cycle + What. It seems I read it in a post somewhere about adjusting pots but I cant find it.

My Accu-cycle Plus What works but it drops out of charges to soon. It happens most frequently on larger packs (1500 +). I didnt even know there was a problem till I recently purchased a Peak Electronics Super-Test (which is great) and found out I was flying my giant scale planes on about 2/3 of the pack capacity! I didnt catch it at the field because my field tester was also off (also a Hobbico!).

I'm trying to avoid sending it back again as I have done so twice now for different things.

I need to know what equipment I need and witch pots are which. I would just shelve it (like a lot of RCU members have done) but it was too darn expensive to just give up on. If I void my warranty so be it, its worthless as it is now

Any advise here would be appreciated.

I do not recall any adjustments for the Peak Detect circuitry. The only adjustments I have tweaked are for the discharge currents. They are visible in the two tiny circuit board holes. An accurate ammeter is required.

Please be aware that on large packs the Accu-Cycle and Accu-Cycle Plus may not offer a full charge on the first attempt. For example, on the Plus model the safety timer may terminate the "fast" charge before peak detect is ever met. For sure, you will need to choose the higher 1000mA charge current.

On packs larger than 1400mAH, your success will depend on the capacity of the pack. There is a point where it can be too big for this old technology charger. Be prepared to press "start" a second time to ensure a full charge on the big capacity packs. This is a cheap workaround used by others.

Ninefingers, with the Accucylcle plus:
1st there is no calibration for it
2nd After 120 minutes of charging the Accu + automatically goes to trickle whether, or not the battery is fully charged or not. As stated above larger mah packs are going to require more than the 120 minutes.
I have a 1400mah pack that required 6 hours and 31 minutes before it peaked.

After you have charged the plane check the time on your charger, if it reads 120 minutes press charge again and you should be fine. Good luck Daz...
