I was flying my predator yesterday warming up for our local race. I had 2 good flights then on the 3rd flight I was approaching pylon 2 when all of a sudden the firewall broke!!!

What the hell ?? Thank god my DA-150 wasn't damaged because soon as it broke off Raskco ran after it and caught it with a catchers mit!! Anyways what is the deal with these arfs? Aren't they supposed to handle that kind of speed???

Do we fly them to agressivlly or what? These plane should be built good enough to take a little ponishment.... No I don't know if it's me or not but I think If the companies would spend about 12 cents more in CA and epoxy they would make it a little stronger no.? The planes I have been seeing (arf's) have very little ca and epoxy in them .. Now I know we want them lite and all but when ribs are moving and fuse's are flexing and stuff like that happens.. Well inprove the stuff and we'll pay a little more man.. Come on guys give up good planes... I swear, I will never get rid of my PT 20..... The best arf of all times... I even went to a 25 engine and it kicks butt... I love the little bugger.. I'm thinking of a super tigre 3250 for the pt 20 next.... I know that fire wall will handle the power... I gotta go It's making my cry right now.. I have to go hug it for a bit... L8ER guys and happy arf'ing..

The predator is a piece of crap out of the box !!! I got one and the first thing I did was to double and pin the firewall then I reinforced the landing gear and triangle stocked the fuse ( its still not stiff) oh yea, the wing plate needs reinfoceing, Lanier should have recalled these things they are the worst that I have seen considering it is a performace machine,( thats What the wavier is for on the inst. sheet) the right to sell crap, and not be liable for it, not there finest hour!

Fastlash, My buddy built a dominator.. And my other buddy bought the predator.. There not even close... the predator does flex and nothing is pinned.. He had about I'd say 10 to 15 flights on it so far nothing happed to it yet but He's only flying it like a trainner... The predator would not be my first 1500 I buy...
How does yours fly now that you did your stuff to it..?

Its still kind of flexy, but I don't stress it as much as my skill allows, but I would not buy another, I would by a Racer 2 which the wing is already sheeted, and you build up the rest they really dont take long to build, and if it stays together you have really come out in the long run,
