Status: offline 		Im about to order high cap nimh ... And looking for fast and slow charger to do the dutys' For Rx,Tx
I"m undecided but most likely between super turbo ,and ???to do the fast stuff ..
Q Do we really need to cycle Nimh ? as they don't set a
memory .Q For the money whats best to (peak (slow charge)
Nimh AA size 1650 ,,for RX ,,TX If not to much money would like to slow charge ,,,set it and forget it !!
Q Do I have to invest 200+ bucks for two chargers ???

I have been reading It,s best to slow charge new Nimh The first few Times ,,, Over time I want to switch over to all Nimh ..

Status: offline 		Nimh packs must be cycled before use to ensure rated capacity. Sometimes it may take 2-3 cycles for the pack to get to rated capacity. You should also C/10 charge the pack for 18-24 hours before you cycle to prime the pack, then cycle. You should also only slow charge for the first 3-5 charges before you fast charge a nimh pack.

The Super Turbo will properly peak a nimh pack and also has a cycler. Great unit, easy to program.

Charge rates for a 1650 nimh pack should not exceed C1 or 1.65 amps. I personally charge them from 800 mah to 1 amp depending on if I am at home or at the field.

The Super Turbo can do a slow charge, through an adjustable trickle. For example, for the 1650 nimh pack, set the trickle for 200 mah. Select a charge rate of 250 mah and tell the Super Turbo the battery is a 200 mah size pack. The unit will Peak Detect charge the pack to 200 mah and then go to trickle, now you are slow charging. The small Peak Detection charge will not hurt the pack, but will kick off quickly into trickle. You can select from 50-250 mah trickle rate.

Do You carry batts also ? Can you send email for best price charger alone(Dymond super turbo ) and, or, combo with sanyo 1650 mha AA size Nimh 5 cell Flat 6V for RX and TX 8 cell ?? With Jr Connectors //

Status: offline 		Evan Q On the trick to slow charge ,, If I,m not getting peak charge at the slow rate (timer or watching it ) Will I still get max capacity after cycles ? I'm guessing but most likely will get 90 to 95 % cap on slow charge by timing it .

OR does charger reset for a new peak??? Why Do Nimh batts
do better on slow rates the first few times ? I have read that with nicads ,,It's that they deep charge father on a slow rate .
and theres little heat build up ..I don't Know if this applies to nimh Thanks Ron
