Giant Scale -> Ziroli P61 Black Widow (6/22/2002 9:52:35 AM)
Does anyone have any feedback on this plane, construction hints or other thoughts. Saw this plane on Ziroli's site and really liked it. Never had much interest in warbirds till I saw this one..wonder if I can fly aerobatics with one :D

I am currently in the process of finishing one of the Ziroli P61's . It has been about a three year process with I think one of those I drifted off to another project. I have really enjoyed the project, it builds easily from the plans, although there is a ton of stuff to build and it looks really great just in its balsa form. I am building mine with the nacelles and fuse all attached to the center wing section. Ziroli suggest doing this and although it may be awkward to move around it will assemble much easier and I wont be likely to forget part of it this way. If you have any specific questions please feel free to send an email.[8D]

Hi,
We built a Ziroli P-61 five years ago, we used G-62 engines. The 61 is a nice plane but make sure if you lose an engine get it down fast as it will spin in fast, it is not a lite plane we used glass and automotive paint. we sold our p-61 2 years ago and I just saw it on e-bay 2 month's ago build one and have fun but keep it lite
