I have a couple of the Kokam 1500 2S and love them. The size isn't that much of a difference, and I am using the stock board. The only thing I did was to insert two CF rods in the front of the frame for a new holder. When looking at the front of the frame, drill two holes on either side of the triangle for the landng gear. If you look at the bottom of the frame, there are two channels on either side of the motor mount. They are what the holes need to be aligned with. Then, just slide in a CF rod on either side, and CA in place. The leverage works out that in a crash, the rods press up against the frame, keeping the CA strong. I also used a small piece of aluminum tubing to form a U-shaped cap for the ends of the rods. It added tremendous strength to the idea. Just use rubber bands to hold the battery undreneath. It can be used for either lipos, or the stock batteries, and the balance adjustment is perfect. Let me know if you guys need to see a picture, and I'll post it.
