Although they will fly fine with the wires on the plane, they are easy enough to fix. Simply unbolt the belcrank, cut off the loops on the wingtip and superglue your replacement wire to the nipped off end of the original, then pull the new wire through the wing to the belcrank position. With the belcrank out and exposed and the wires coming out of the wing, whip the new wires to the belcrank, make sure and bush the new wires to the belcrank. Then put the belcrank back in the wing and bolt it back down, then whip the other ends of the blecrank and you are done. Should take less than an hour tops. I didn't time mine when I did it, but it was fast.

I've gotten 30-40 flights in with the original wire with no problem. Has anyone out there actually had a problem?

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. HAVE SINCE TALKED TO A COUPLE OTHERS WHO HAVE ARF NOBLER. THEY HAD REPLACED THE LEADOUTS. ALSO GOT RID OF THE FUNKY BELCRANK CONNECTERS AND DRILLED AND BUSHED THE BELLCRANK. THAT'S THE WAY I THINK I'LL GO. GLAD YOU HAVE SO MANY FLIGHTS WITH SUCCESS. HOW DID THE NOBLER FLY? THANKS AGAIN. GOOD TO KNOW THERE IS HELP OUT THERE.

Dale,

I had to put a little weight on the outside wing tip but other than that it's unchanged. I have a Brodak 40 on it and once I got the engine speed right, it flies great. I built one on about 1960 that I still have but is beyond repair. I had been flying nuthing but RC until the Nobler ARF came out. I decided to give it a try. I now have 3 CL planes and two under construction. I'm hoping to enter the Brodak Flyin this year if I can get in enough prictice. The Nobler flies great. As good or better than the original.

YOU SOUND A LOT LIKE ME. AS MOST OLD GUYS, STARTED OUT IN C/L MANY YEARS AGO. KINDA LIKE YOUR FIRST LOVE. YOU NEVER FORGET IT. C/L IS THE SAME. HAVE BEEN UP AND DOWN THE R/C CONTEST LADDER AND STILL DO IT. BUT THE C/L NOBLER ARF WAS A PERFECT REASON TO GET BACK TO FLYING SOME C/L. HAVE A VERY ACTIVE C/L GROUP IN SOUTHERN INDIANA. SOME OF THE GUYS HAVE BEEN GIVING ME POINTERS ON GETTING THIS NOBLER UP AND GOING. FLYERS, LIKE YOU, ON THE NET HAVE BEEN GREAT INSPERATION IN GETTING THE NOBLER GOING. HOPE TO HAVE IT OUT FLYING NEXT MONTH. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP DALE

If you like the Nobler you'll love the ARFs that John Brodak is coming out with. Take a look at Brodak.com. I'm lucky to be living 10 miles from the Brodak factory and have done some computer work for John. I retired a couple of years ago. I have the Bodak Oriental and the Smoothie ARFs. John gave me the prototypes for doing the work. The workmanship is fantastic. The Oriental with engine weighs only 35 oz. I think they are much better than the Nobler.

BTW, Since Indiana is not that far from SW Pa, you may want to consider coming to the Brodak Flyin. Last year he had folks from nearly every state and a number of foreign countries. He has six circles in his backyard and every one is busy for the entire 5 or so days. Info is on his site.

PROBABLY WON'T MAKE BRODAK FLYIN BUT I KNOW SEVERAL OF THE LOCALY GUYS GO EVERY YEAR. THAT SMOOTHIE ARF SOUNDS GREAT. I GET THIS NOBLER GOING, I WOULD BE INTRESTED IN IT. FLEW ONE OF THE VECO KITS MANY YEARS AGO. I HEARD THAT BRODAK WAS COMING OUT WITH SEVEAL ARF. DON'T KNOW HOW THE MARKET WOULD BE., BUT IT WILL CATCH GUYS LIKE ME. WHO JUST WANT TO GO BACK TO MORE SIMPLE TYPE FLYING. NOT SURE IF I CAN HANDLE THE DIZZINESS!!!!
