This is what i call a fake Shock Flyer. My friend Willem designed it. He has a special cutting machine and made this. Hes made about 5 of them and has sold them each for only $20. We love flying them on our picnic Sundays.

In mine, i have 3 Hitec HS 55's, reciever with built in ESC by Great Planes, GWS "C" Drive, 3S Thunder Power 1200 mah.
Best of all, it hovers on a GWS system! Only problem is that i'm sure i'm going to burn up the motor sooner or later with all the voltage im running it through. But its only a cheap motor anyways. I can hover all day long.
Hope u guys like it, tell me what u think.

Great job looks real good. How does it fly 3D other than a hover? It looks like it would be alot of fun!!!

It can do anything u throw at it! Rolls are so fast, inside and outside loops are so tight. Flat spins, knife edges, inverted.
Anything!

Shock Flyers fly even better when they are bigger! Just scale the outline to about 45" and use 6mm Depron. 3dandpatternflyer, what does your's weigh? Mine is at 18oz with a 2025 and 3S 1500s.

I would think a Himax 2015-4100 on a 6.6:1 gearbox would be fine. I am using the 2025 but it draws over 16A so you need a significant battery.

Do you fly on a simulator, I flew on one for about 1 month, and i improved greatly, I can keep it with in 1 inch of me, so that helps alot.
