    Status: offline     		Since I have the 50cc engine on order, I will look for the GP Giant Aeromaster instead of the Stearman.
    Love the Stearman though, but I guess it's better suited for a smaller power plant.

    Jim yours looks just like mine but i used a YS 140

    Status: offline     		Mine are right at the trailing edge of the alerons, and in line with the struts. No way was I going to do what the manual said...

    Status: offline     		It's really not a matter of your own way, the manual is wrong and if you were to mount them were the manual told you to, the airelons would not work.

    I already have the plane,l I am just waiting for is the motor to get here.
    It should be here in a day or two.
    I am going to start a build thread when I start the project.

    Status: offline     		I agree, this is not an airframe for a 50cc motor. Even thought that motor is a small 50, it is about twice the motor needed. I only have a Saito 150 in mine. Want to sell it now before you destroy it?

    Status: offline     		My friends 1/3 scale Pitts is a real hot rod whth a Brison 50, and the stearman is considerably smaller. I think it will rip the porr plane apart. He's being a bit greedy, they fly fine with a 26, and a 40 max would make it totally crazy with power. The Stearman is a crop duster type plane, not a high speep stunt plane like the Pitts. Just a big lumbering teddy bear...

    Status: online     		I'm not putting the 50cc in it planning for it to be a speed demon.
    I have the CRRC GF26I in a 70" 11+ lb Laser 200 and I know how it performs, Which is great.
    I am thinking about aero drag of the big cowling, two wings, and extra weight with a full smoke system.
    I am planning on the plane in the 15 1/2 - 16 1/2lb range.
    I am not figureing on wide open unless in verticle or monster loops.
    Which will look outstanding with full smoke and this sytle plane.
    I'm looking for awsome verticle with a 16 1/2lb bi-plane.
    Believe me, I'm not planning on ripping it apart, I have hard core planes for that stuff.

    Status: offline     		A Stearman with unlimited verticle ? Hmmm... In real life they are not that powerful, more like a crop duster actually. I guess I like my planes to fly more like the real one's. I woulda chose a Pitts for the big engine myself.
