I'm thinking about putting together a boat with a 25cc Homelite and a 40 something inch hull. What kind of speed am I looking at with something like that? (roughly) I know there are a lot of variables there, but I'm just looking for a general idea. I've got a fast 16' boat...looking for some entertainment while I'm beached. [:D]

With a dead stock motor, carb and canister exhaust and a surface drive prop setup on a deep vee boat I get performance in the low 20's according to my GPS. With a 32cc in the same configuration it's high 20's to low 30's. Plenty of fun for entertainment. You won't be competitive with the Zenoah 260's but who cares if you don't intend to race. The setup is very reliable and fun for sport boating.
