Status: offline 		The NiMH battery pack that comes with the Aerohawk is the same size, the same weight, and the same voltage as strapping 7 AAA cells together.

Status: offline 		As Jack says... 7 x 1.2 volt AAA NimH cells in series = 8.4 Volts.

Most commonly available NimH AAA cells are 700 MaH - so the resulting pack is 700MaH at 8.4 Volts. If you can find AAA cells with higher capacity then you can build a higher capacity pack of course. If you're serious about doing this then you should buy the AAA cells with solder tags rather than then conventional AAA cells with a bump at one end (+) and a flat at the other (-).

Status: offline 		I bought some 800mah AAA cells and put a pack together however I found that it could not deliver the amount of current to make the heli fly - I assume this is between 4-5 Amps continous.

Only good brand cells eg. SANYO are rated for this kind of continuous power delivery other cells will choke at 3 amps or less so make sure you get some info about the cells before you buy them...
