Since I know the guy that runs the servers in our company, ahem, I know that it shoots them out as soon as they come in. Can't be a problem on our end. Either MCI's backbone is broken, or something else happened.

Your timing is only a small part,
Litco uses AT&T as their ISP, AT&T is a very large ISP and they probably have several heavily loaded mail servers which mail goes into and then gets rerouted internally before it reaches Litco's mailbox. So the latency of the message passing internally could be hit and miss irregardless of when you sent your message.

I used some special software to schedule an email to shoot at exactly 9:00:00am. My email server shot it out at that same time and I didn't make the cut. I wonder if I sent it too soon?

I’m just curious what charger is better, has 4 or more ports and cheaper?

You'll never get definitive answer on this. Everybody has different 'modes of operation', such as your leave it connected till you are ready, and mine charge and disconnect. Someone else will need more amps, others couldn't care.

In my opnion, the best 4 port charger is the Alpha if you don't need to charge Lithiums, need to fast charge packs, or need more than 4 ports. If you need 4 or more ports, Lithium support, or find the 1amp a limiting factor, then the Miniron looks good even though it costs slightly more. However, as mentioned I have some concerns regarding the negative discharge pluse and its ability to damage ECU's, as well as the automatic cycling. If those are ironed out, I'll sell my Alpha's and swtich to the Miniron's. If not, I'll be selling the Miniron and keeping my Alphas :-)

Glad you got on the list of an Alpha. I'm sure you will be more than happy with it.

lennyk,

Thanks for a plausible explanation.

I really hit the jackpot. I've been wanting a second. My first arrived 3/24/99 (I remember that day, pretty sick, huh).

I was cruising a mail list and saw someone offering a used A4, said if he didn't get an offer by Monday, he'd put it on e-bay. Well, I knew about what the going rate was for A4's on ebay, so I shot him an e-mail FULLY expecting to be rejected. HE ACCEPTED!! A week later #2 arrived and as of last night, I've got 7 planes and 1 tranny charging for tomorrow!

His buttons actually feel quite a bit newer than mine, didn't realize I use it that much.

Kevin
