Hi, it's pretty new body. I purchased direct from the manufacturer PTI racing: http://www.ptiracing.net/page10.html
Its thick quality concourse level body. I added the real front grills on my own. I am still working on a mini Horse for the grill.

The custom license plates were had at: http://www.rogueelementcomponents.com

BUY and Support these great people!

The car itself is ALL metal $$$$$$ and a RARE.

Sure, anytime. Unlike some others in this hobby...I like to let people know where to get good things.
You see some people hog up all the info.. selfish..When in fact if you want to be selfish, you should help others so it can advance the hobby.

Anyways..enouph of my little speach... I would love get get more opinions on my car. I hve worked so hard and put countless hrs into it so far.

Your exhaust setup is crazy looking, I can see it took some thought. First person to rear end you is going to take it out!!! bet it looks scale though with the body on!! I am thinking about making a custom setup to get the exhaust to go out the rear of my super nitro rally. Here is what I did with the nrs4 2:

Here I just wanted it to be simple:

After Paint:

I here what you are saying about helping others, sometimes even the dudes that work at the hobby shops don't feel like helping customers!! When I went down to RCX about a month ago My friend and I stopped by a hobby shop called Pegasus Hobby. OMG I almost lost it and went off on the young punk but I thought better of it. What I stayed for was all the parts, they had more HPI parts then I have even seen in a hobby shop.

One thing you have to realize Mike...That car will never be in a real race. Only a staged Concourse race with respectable other drivers.

I have just installed the on board starter. Next i have to rig it so I can start her from the radio ...Remote start.
Almost there!!! Before that..and what i am doing now is installing an RPM sensor in the backplate area. Then a few more sensors to
install... fin stuff. RS4 2 #1 !!!

Well I only got pics of my origonal RS4:

Heh... even had to countersink the new engine mounts ^__^ Going to order the Hardcore racing pro upper deck to move everything more centered on the chassis soon, and my chassis is bent pretty bad so i need to get a new 1 of those.

I got the HPI 2 speed upgrade, anyone know how many teeth the clutch bell is? What would be a good upgrade to go to for quick first gear and a longer 2nd? You can screw the teeth on the new bells right? what should I be looking for?

I here what you are saying dude You got to keep me updated on your remote start project.

I got off work real early the other day so I went and checked out this track (Delta Rc) that is about 45 min for me. Some how some way the idle set screw backed it’s way out and fell out. I bought a new one and the spring will not compress enough to set the proper idle So I walked around the track some and found the screw and spring right away, but the damn spring did the same thing. I can tell that the idle screw hole is almost stripped, it has some play in the treads even when you try a new screw. I am not going to put any money into this engine, it is over three years old and has done me well!! I have a HPI .12r ss in my Rally, it is not even all the way broke in, less then a quart thru it. I am going to put a .18ss in the rally, it needs more low end then the .12r ss has.

Here is my big block RS4 conversion. I'm putting a new Thunder Tiger engine in next week. This one is an Ofna Force .21.
This engines just DRINKS fuel. I have to put a bigger fuel tank in there somehow. I saw someone in this thread have a 2wd with a bigger fuel tank. I might try something like that, but I want to keep 4wd. Helps a LOT with traction with all the extra power.

Mine, got it as my 10th bday present, still on the original 15fe without even being rebuilt. Maybe 7 gallons of nitro trough it and still starts on first pull. I took it to a LHS to get new head screws when upgrading and they were amazed how clean the engine was for being still original.

Only has turnbucles for camber on rear, upgraded head(stripped the old one by accident), and the rear exhaust. Which added with the head and removing 1 shim gave it a lot more power and response. Plus the cool factor helps a lot, and clean bodies too.

Heres some extras of when i cleaned it up when changing the head. Just dunked everything on old nitro and then brushed the dirt off.

out with the old, in with the new

and yes, those are drift tires.
