OK, Here goes. I had a long discussion with FG today. The latest and greatest is as follows:

Monster Beetle is as of today 2 weeks out from shipping from FG to us.
Monster Truck Big Foot is now looking like it will push into early July. FG are aware that there is a bunch of anxious people out there waiting for trucks. I have been promised that we will receive trucks out of the first batch that comes down the assembly line. The reasons for the painful delays is that FG has run several tests with the two prototype trucks and repeatedly decided that the design could be improved upon. This combined with some subcontractors being behind the eightball has led to the situation we have. I agree that the timing between when the truck was revealed and when it will be available is of. FG themselves said they would have preferred to hold the release but some European dealers pushed them to release the pics of the prototype truck early this year.... I promise all of you out here that I and ammdrew will keep you guys up to speed with how this develops.

All the best, and go out and bash those Marders while you wait.. That is what I plan to do tomorrow....

I hope Fmolzer is right and that I´m misinformed. My supplier told me that there are air bubbles in the tires and still a few parts for the MT aren´t ready. I tried to call FG myself but they are closed for two days because of a holiday in Germany. I promise to call them next week and make sure that the release day on our site is right.

I will let you guys know a.s.a.p.

Hi Guys,

Because the MT was delayed so often my supplier was a bit too ¨safe¨ with his last release date. FG told him the MT should be
available in approx. one month and he told me it could take three months. The Monsterbeetle is going to be released in 2 or 3
weeks and the MT still is planned for July.

Let´s hope this date is final.

Looking at the pictures of the MT, the rims look to be aluminum..? Is this just my imagination and they are actually just painted up to look that way. If anyone knows this for sure please comment. Thanks..

Well whatever the delay is....I still don't think anyone knows when the MT is coming out.
But what are we going to do?...I still want one so I will just have to wait.
FG need to get their ass into gear and update their website....is a joke.
All they have to do is release a statement saying the MT has been delayed until whenever because of this part etc....
That would stop a lot of frustration for those who have pre-ordered.
I mean...their web site truly sucks ass....their last so called 'news' update was May 2003....13 months ago!!! FFS!!!
If anyone from FG is reading this... go and take a look at what a real web site looks like:
http://www.harm-racing.de/index.asp?Lang=EN
Now if only H.A.R.M made a Monster Truck....

just think:
they are only making the truck better....
they saw a flaw in the tires and they are remedying the problem.
cen did the same thing and team associated did it at least twice with the tc3 and the mgt.
i guess we have just be patient until the first week of july and see from there.
for those that paid to reserve the vehicle have to wait til time comes that the vehicle is delivered.....then rais hell

When/IF the trucks ever do come out, I have heard that you can burn Colman Fuel in a gas engine in place of regular gas, which would be good to keep the smell down so the wife will let you bring your toys in the house. Is this possible, and what would it do to the performance/life of the engine? Would you still mix the fuel with the same amount's of oil?
Thanks

Here is a web site of the new FG catalog with some nice pics of the FG Monster BigFoot. It has a nice one with a lady holding it, showing a nice size comparison.

http://www.rc-car-online.de/katalog/index.htm

Now if they will only hurry up and get here. LOL Shouldn't be long now though.

They should stop wasting time taking photos of the truck with average looking chicks and build them FFS!
I have been told the trucks will now be released in August....better be worth the wait.

we were told today 3 to 4 more weeks, and the reason was they are doing everything they can they just can not get it done. catalogs do not happen in a day, it has been a much longer project and may even been on the table before the trucks conseption.

I had a feeling that there was a reason for the release of the video. They knew there was going to be ANOTHER delay so they had to release the video to keep us hooked. Now they are saying August but in all likelihood it will be September or October.

I am seriously thinking about cancelling my order, they need to stick to a release date. If its going to be in September or October, just say so and quit leading everyone on. I am tired of getting my hopes up of getting it and then being dissapointed. If I knew from the start it was going to take this long then it would have been fine. So Please FG, give a final release date and STICK TO IT!!!!!!!

I am wondering how hard it will be to get parts for them after they are released. I am thinking that they will be using all the parts to build trucks and not have any to sell for the existing customers. That would tend to aggravate a lot of people too. I would be pissed if I broke something like an a-arm and had to wait a long time for a replacement to be available.

ammdrew.....looks like you have a surprise....lol....you had said earlier that you would be surprised if the trucks weren't released until August........4 weeks from now is pretty darn close to August...
