Sorry to say the Sensor or the React will not use MP3 files.

Well we didn't get a newer verison of the Beta, we got full Version 3 released today. Before you cheer it could be worse than the Beta. At least you could read the radio screen with the old Beta version.

--------------- part of message deleted

You might want to wait a bit before downloading.

Karlton sent me the following email explaining the situation, guess I can cut them some slack this time,
There is a bug in the Sensor 3.0 firmware that is only evident on some Sensors, where the LCD display gets really ugly (parts of it don’t get updated). We saw this last week on one of the Sensors in the office, and the software was fixed and the problem can’t be recreated on that Sensor anymore. It seems that some Sensors have LCDs that are even slower than the one we have in the office, and we’re working on getting a fix out. In the meantime, to anyone that says “Sensor 3.0 messed up my LCD!!”, let them know that we’re working on it and they should manually go back to the 2.2 Beta in the meantime.

Just about any hobby shop that deals with Hobbico as a distributer. Tower carries them. You can also get them direct from Nomadio I think, try http://nomadio.net
Several locations are mentioned in the thread but it sure does cover a lot of pages. Got mine at the local hobby shop.

Karlton, on the new version, thank everyone for resolving the problem so quickly. Maybe I won't break this one.

Most shops in PA carry or can carry them they are made in PA by the way!

I posted a poll on what YOU want for the small receiver:

1) Plastic case with a bind button
2) Potted in Epoxy with a bind jumper
3) Shrink Wrap with bind button

The Sensor 3.0.1 seems to be worth the download, functions much better for me that the last Beta.

Karlton,

Any chance that the new stick radios (or even the "old" Sensor and React radios) can get a GPS sensor, now that GPS sensors are getting so cheap and low current draw? I am thinking true ground speed, altitude, heading, all might be useful information - especdially for a plane at the edge of visibility (a glance at the radio or tone to indicate goint toward or away, for instance). Or a conversion from truse speed to scale should be trivial, and fun, useful information (especially if logged). It could be sent over the natural serial interface, at worst.

If it could be logged, you would have a pretty decent start on a flight data recorder (especially if the control inputs were also logged). Be pretty spiffy to be able to plug all that info into your flight-sim and watch what you did and "how it happened" from outside yourself at your leisure. Might also be pretty useful diagnostically.

Just a thought.

Wreno
