Kewl!

First question:
Where can I get pcm receivers for my PCM10z for a reasonable cost. Not trying to be a jerk here, the cost the LHS is quoting me for these puppies is a bit hard to believe, especially considering they're older technology....

BTW, Love my 10z, it keeps going, and going, and ....

Service has been exemplary!

On the receiver question, I'm not really up on prices much as I work in service. You can use either the 236 or 910 receivers for PCM operation. If you want, you can do some searching around to find your best price, but keep in mind, supporting your local hobby store will keep the store in business for when you need a part quickly. I hope your 10Z keeps going strong for you!

On the crystal question, per FCC regulations, that conversion must be performed by an authorized service center. It may need to be tuned to the new frequency, and it is a good idea to have them checked out every so often anyway. The systems can lose their tuning over time, so it is a good idea to send them in, at least every couple of years. The cost is usually pretty low for this service and it gives you piece of mind that your system is of the same quality and top performance that it was the day it was purchased.
Thank You,
Danny

Thanks, I do support my LHS, I even have them ship to Horizon for service for me so I can pay their 'handling' fee.

Thanks for the info on the receiver models. I was just hoping to see the price on these 'older model' puppies go down. They're more expensive than the new models!

Yeah, the 10Z is a sturdy fellow. I will have to back him up with a 10X when the wallet can afford it....

I assume the 10X will still operate my 10Z Rxs?

Yes, it sure will. The 10X is capable of PPM, ZPCM, and SPCM modulations. That feedback on the prices will be passed on.
Thanks!
Danny
