I'd just like to chime in here with a positive note.
I own a RCS 1.40 and have NEVER had so much fun with R/C as I have with this little motor.

- It's small enough to not be too intimidating. Yet big enough to impress the heck outta the guys at the field.

- Cheap to fly- 8 oz of gasoline mix VS 20 oz of 20/20 glow, you do the math!!

- STRONG pulling, specially with a 17x8

- Neat sounding, with the pitts muffer

- Easy starting, choke flip till it pops, unchoke, away you go

- Non-tinkering

- Sips fuel - I was able to toss my 20 oz tank for 8oz for same flight times

Just a plain old FUN little motor.... I'd reccomend to anyone wanting to replace their 1.20-1.40 glow guzzling motors.

Mike and the guys at RCS are quick to answer questions and service. I'm totally impressed!!

Keep up the good work...I'm saving my pennies for that ZdZ!!

Next in line for me? ZdZ 40 baby!!!
High Flights ALL!!

One more thing I'd like to add.

The question came up on how smooth these motors run.

My little RCS 1.40 is smoother than a 1.20 4 stroke any day of the week.

I origianlly got this engine for a Aeroworks Profile and was worried about vibration with the large fun-fly type plane. I have no worries....it's smooth.

Do a good job of balancing your props and the smoother it will get.

Is there anyone else out there that would like to add a positive note about the RCS motors in here?

High Flights!!

Hi Herb,

I was thinking about the 140 for my 25% Aeroworks Edge 540. Now flying it with a Moki 1.35 at 10 lbs. How heavy is your profile setup? I'm sure I'd gain a few onces going to the 140, but I am using a 16 oz tank, and that would change I guess. My only concern is that I might loose some vertical with the change. Thanks for any insight.

Kevin

Howdy Mike,

Wish You were there!
I know this is not proper forum for this, but I want you to know Dan Stevens and I flew my Hornet Sunday.
The first high speed low pass was worth all that work, with the two ZDZ 60's singing and 20/8 4 blade props - Man - what a sight and sound.
Sound like half of Mac's B-29.
