Default Futaba 3305 servos / are they good for airplanes?

Hi Guys,

I have ordered 4 Futaba 3305 high torque servos w/o checking properly. I got them , but I realized that they not for aircrafts. They are mainly for r/c cars. Maybe they are a little bit slower.

Can you still advise me to use them in airplanes. Is there any reason that I should not use them in airplanes.

Thank you for your reply in advance.

Regards.

Hi Zafer,

These servos are designed for cars where NiCd batteries are predominantly used. They can be used in boats and planes, but are approved for NiCd use only, you must remember to use the correct batteries when using these servos.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

I've been using Futaba 3305 servos in aircraft for at least the last 5 years and have never had a problem.. I use dual 1650 NIMH batteries going into two switches and into two separate terminals in my receiver. What makes them worse on NIMH batteries than any other high torque servo??
